The Dress!!!

Maggie Sottero "Grace". The real dress will be diamond white lace over diamond white satin...the sample is DW lace over light gold. So...picture it a lot whiter. :) It should be in around mid-May...I can't wait!!  I am going to do a french bustle, low to the ground like in the picture on the right. 

UPDATE: After too much color drama to get into (and a bit of temporary insanity/bridezilla-ness), I am happy to report that my dress has arrived and I love it. :) 

My first fitting!

I just had my first fitting and got to see the dress together with the new shoes, the veil (which I had made using the shawl that came with the dress - check out how it matches the bottom perfectly!), and the jewelry for the first time...love!!! Because the dress has a corset back, the only alterations that my seamstress is doing are hemming it/reattaching the lace trim, and a 3-pt French bustle. (Excuse the funny folds/pinning in the second pic - obviously it won't really look like that when it's done!)
