IPUELLA Wedding Planning Bio

Flower Inspiration!

My main flower inspiration came from knottie NikNak11. I had already decided on our colors but hadn't yet seen anyone execute it in the way I was picturing until I saw her planning bio. Here were a few of the pics that inspired me (hers and others')...

Bride's Flowers

So now, thanks to Niknak, I've just signed a contract with Heather at Audrey's Flower Shop in New Gloucester, and I couldn't be more excited about it. Our first meeting was 2 hours long and we totally clicked - she just got it.  Right now we're planning to do my bouquet as a mixture of these:

I'd like to keep it small and compact, too, so this is a pretty good representation of what it might look like, though with darker colors and less green...

I lost my mom in 2006 to cancer, so for a little touch to keep her close to me we're using the lace applique from her wedding dress (which she made, with her mom) to wrap the bouquet, and I am going to attach a photo of her to the bouquet wrap in this locket:

Girls' Flowers

I have two Maids of Honor and four Bridesmaids.  All of their bouquets will be made mainly of mango callas with a touch of leucadendron (the leafy dark red one above), and wrapped in navy to match their dresses:

Craig's mom and my aunt will carry smaller versions of the BM/MOH bouquets, just one or two callas together, as will my flower girl, who will also have a dahlia in her hair:

Guys' Flowers

Craig’s boutonnière will be pretty standard, just a single white mini calla lily to match my bouquet, with a few brown hypericum berries.

The rest of the guys, including his five groomsmen, two Best Men, my two brothers the ushers, our ring bearer, and our two dads will all have the same, but the mini calla will be mango instead of white.
