The Cake

These are some of the cakes I've been eyeing. I can't get excited about any of the cake toppers I've found, so I'm thinking that fresh flowers are probably going to be the direction we go.  I'm thinking a simple, elegant white fondant with navy ribbons like the photo on the top right, but a big orange flower (dahlia maybe?) instead of blue, like in the other pics.

We are planning to do our top "anniversary" layer as a combo of our three favorite flavors - chocolate, peanut butter and banana (or 'the holy trifecta', as we like to call them). Other layers might include spice or pumpkin with cream cheese filling, dark chocolate with raspberry, and something else TBD!

UPDATE 2/28: We booked KaraKakes in Franklin today and confirmed - we're actually going to do FIVE tiers, the top being the anniversary layer.  The top two will be the PB/chocolate/banana combo, the next tiramisu, then pumpkin with cream cheese frosting, and finally chocolate cake with raspberry mousse for the bottom layer. They are all SO delicious -- I don't know how we'll decide which one to actually cut!
